My Chemical Romance – Planetary (Go!) Ringtone Download
Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, My Chemical Romance‘s fourth studio album, features the song Planetary (Go!) as the fifth track. The Japanese word for go, 行け (go), is visible beneath the band’s name and the title of the song on the single’s cover art. The song received a nomination for Best Single at the Kerrang! Awards. The video game Gran Turismo 5 also included the song. The song has 17 million views on YouTube as of January 2024.
Gran Turismo 5, a video game launched in November 2010, used the song in its intro cinematic, making it initially playable (except from the Japanese version). The song will be available as the next single on My Chemical Romance’s official website starting on March 21, 2011. The video game F1 2011 also makes use and it was also featured in a Super Bowl XLV advertisement. The single was eventually postponed to March 28 in the UK and the USA and March 25 in Ireland. Two remix tracks, one by Gallows’ lead singer Lags, were included as B-sides on the digital single.
During an Ask & Answer session with fans, one fan inquired about the status of the video of Planetary (Go!). If it wasn’t yet finished, people may offer ideas, and one fan proposed the idea of “a massive party, with you guys not in it”. The video, according to Gerard Way, seemed to be about “a big party, somewhere in a warehouse where it wasn’t supposed to be happening, something like that, maybe something in a basement.” The O2 Academy in Islington was the location of the music video’s filming on February 24, 2011.
On March 21, 2011, the video made its Facebook debut on My Chemical Romance. Japanese kanji appear at the beginning of the video, accompanied by English subtitles. The group is then spotted performing in front of an audience at Islington’s O2 academy. The day before the show, people may purchase tickets to see the performance.
