The music video for Need U Bad was directed by Jonathan Mannion and debuted on July 8, 2008. In the retro-styled video, Sullivan performs in a recording studio alongside Missy Elliott and other reggae artists. Sullivan appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and 106 & Park to perform the song. It received a nomination for the 51st Grammy Awards in the category of Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
