American singer, songwriter, and recording artist Michael Jackson recorded the song Another Day with Lenny Kravitz. It was included on his posthumous album Michael. It was originally known as Another Day and released as a 90-second teaser. Lenny Kravitz, a singer-songwriter, acknowledged shortly after the song’s leak that he was the song’s producer and composer. He added that while he didn’t leak the music, he would still like to have the full version, which includes him, released properly. Later, before the Michael album was out, Kravitz called the song (I Can’t Make It) Another Day on Facebook.
Although recorded for the album Invincible, the song was not included in the final mix. A collaboration between Kravitz and rapper Jay-Z, Storm was later reworked and retitled. It appears on the rapper’s 2004 album Baptism and was released on July 6, 2004 as the album’s second single, reaching at number 98 in the US charts.
Both Jackson’s estate and the record company, Sony Music Entertainment, said shortly after the leak that they were taking Another Day off from the Internet due to copyright violations. The song has been re-uploaded to the Internet and listened to thousands of times despite effective attempts to stop it. Following the unofficial release of A Place with No Name on July 16, 2009, Another Day is the second Jackson song to be leaked after his death.
