The song Stuck with U features Canadian singer Justin Bieber and American vocalist Ariana Grande. On May 8, 2020, it was made available as a single through Republic Records, Def Jam Recordings, and Silent Records Ventures. Together with producers Freddy Wexler and Gian Stone, Whitney Phillips, their manager, Scooter Braun, and Skyler Stonestreet, the performers composed the song. After their duet on the remix of the latter’s hit song, “What Do You Mean?”, Grande and Bieber collaborated again on this song. Both the original and the remix can be found on his fourth studio album, Purpose (2015).
The song became Grande’s third and Bieber’s sixth number-one single in the United States when it debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, chart issue dated May 23, 2020. Furthermore, it marks the third time in a row that both performers open at the top of the chart. The song became Grande’s second and Bieber’s first number-one single when it arrived at the top of the Rolling Stone Top 100, chart edition dated May 21, 2020. The RIAA has certified it double platinum. In addition, the song peaked at the top of the charts in 17 additional countries and reached the top 10 in Canada, Lebanon, Malaysia, New Zealand, Israel, and Singapore.
Additionally, “Stuck with U” took home two awards: the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards’ Best Music Video From Home and the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards’ Favourite Music Collaboration. The song has raised approximately $3.5 million for the First Responders Children’s Foundation as of August 2021, with the proceeds going directly to the families of thousands of first responders around the country.
