Yael Naim – New Soul Ringtone (100% Free Download). French-Israeli singer Yael Naïm‘s song New Soul is taken from her self-titled second album. After being featured in an Apple MacBook Air laptop campaign, the song became well-known in the US.

Naïm sings in the song about entering the world as a new soul with the intention of learning “a bit about how to give and take.” She discovers, though, that things are more difficult than they appear. The song’s hook, a noticeable ‘la la la la’ portion, may also be heard in the movies Wild Target and The House Bunny. As of right now, it’s still Naïm’s biggest hit song in the US and the only one to peak at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“New Soul” became Naïm’s first single to ever chart in the US when it debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the issue dated February 16, 2008. Prior to dropping to number 42 the following week, it peaked at number 7 on the Hot 100.

Even though it eventually gained popularity after appearing in Apple MacBook Air advertising, the song remained on the chart for a total of 19 weeks.

On the Canadian Hot 100, it made its debut at number 44. The following week, it shot up to number 7. The song peaked at number one on the French Singles Chart in her native France. It peaked at number 30 one month later, having debuted at number 42 on the UK Singles Chart in February 2008.
