Teddy Swims is an American singer-songwriter. Lose Control is the second single off his debut studio album I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1) (2023), which was released on June 23, 2023. It is Swims’ first song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100, having peaked at number 39 after debuting at number 99. It was produced by Ammo and Julian Bunetta. It was number one on the Flanders region’s chart in Belgium.
“Some Things I’ll Never Know” from the album’s opening track was Swims’ choice when asked which American songwriter song he loved the most. The singer-songwriter played a live set of his songs and a cover of “Use Somebody” at Nova on August 30, 2023, to promote the album. His I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour, which travels across North America in November 2023, is another way he is promoting the record.
