Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer-songwriter, and here is his song Forget Me. It is the lead track on his second studio album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, and was released on September 9, 2022, via Vertigo and Universal. “Forget Me” became Capaldi’s third number-one single in the UK when it debuted at the top of the UK Singles Chart. It received a 2023 Brit Award Song of the Year nomination.

An open letter written by Capaldi accompanying the song’s release revealed that the singer was anxious about it, stating that “it could be the beginning of a beautiful chapter in my life, or the very public downward spiral that, let’s face it, I’m probably due.” Capaldi claims that the song is about a breakup he went through the previous year and the “post-life” of his ex, which he was only able to see on social media.
The song was regarded as a “change of pace” for the singer’s voice and as a “80s-synth inspired track”. The song’s production was influenced by a song titled Somebody Else from 1975.
Louis Bhose, who had previously helmed the Grace music video, directed Forget Me, which debuted on September 9, 2022. In Ibiza, at the Pikes Hotel, it was filmed. The song Club Tropicana by Wham! is honoured in the video. “You hear a sad song and you expect a sad video,” Bhose said in reference to the video. That contains catharsis. However, taking a whole other route seemed more in keeping with the Lewis who appeared on stage at Glastonbury wearing a full Noel Gallagher costume.”
