The American pop trio Jonas Brothers has a song called S.O.S. From Jonas Brothers’ 2007 second studio album, the song was made available as the third single. In early June 2008, it was also their first international single in the UK and throughout Europe in May 2008.
“S.O.S” made its Billboard Hot 100 debut in August 2007 at position 65. The song became the band’s first single to reach the top 20, peaking at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week after its release. Having reached at number four on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart for two weeks in a row in September 2007, the record did extremely well digitally. In the US, 1.5 million copies have been sold. On April 13, 2008, “S.O.S” made its debut in Australia’s top 50, peaking at number 48 on the ARIA Charts. It reached its high at number 47 thus far. The single’s fast ascent from number 85 to number 40 on January 3, 2008, increased album sales during the preceding few weeks.
“S.O.S” had a mediocre amount of success in the UK; it debuted at number 16 on the UK Singles Chart and moved up to number 13 the following week. It did, however, drop 11 spots to number 24 the following week, even with extensive video airplay. The song fell eight spots to number 32 in the fourth week of the UK Singles Chart. One of the best-selling songs of 2007, the song sold 2,000,000 copies globally. Later, “When You Look Me in the Eyes”‘ B-side was made out of this song.
