Coldplay – Midnight Ringtone Download
British rock group Coldplay recorded a song titled Midnight for their sixth studio album, Ghost Stories. The song was written and produced by Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin. Paul Epworth, Daniel Green, Rik Simpson, and co-production partner Jon Hopkins all contributed to the songwriting. In anticipation of the then-unannounced album, a music video was published on February 25, 2014, and Parlophone pressed a promotional 7-inch vinyl single for Record Store Day on April 17, 2014.
Some have characterised Midnight as a folktronica and ambient song. It was constructed atop a 2003 original Jon Hopkins track that had not been released before. Amphora was an unfinished track by Hopkins that was partially made available on SoundCloud in early 2012 as part of the playlist “ASIP – 1.00.00” by ambient/electronic music blog A Strangely Isolated Place. The song also features snippets from a recording by Jon Hopkins, dubbed “The Fourth State II,” which is a reworking of his lengthy album The Fourth Estate from 2008.
Coldplay debuted Midnight live for the first time on March 12, 2014, the opening night of the 2014 iTunes Festival at SXSW, at Austin, Texas’ Moody Theatre. It was the sole song played during the setlist’s encore section. Guy Berryman, the bassist, performed on a laser harp, and Will Champion played a Reactable.
One of the songs was played in the opening episode of the first season of The Shannara Chronicles on Syfy. The song was also played in the seventh episode of the second season of the drama television programme Under the Dome. The song was also featured in the theatrical trailer for Exodus: Gods and Kings.
