By November 2008, Thunder had sold 350,000 copies, and it was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in December 2009, signifying over 600,000 copies sold.
The accompanying music video, directed by Josh Forbes and released on June 20, 2008, portrays scenes of youthful camaraderie, including food fights, late-night gatherings, and swimming pool moments, interspersed with footage of the band performing.
