Akon Smack That Ringtone Download
The song Smack That from Senegalese-American musician Akon‘s second studio album Konvicted features rapper Eminem. It was written by the artists, Mike Strange, and Luis Resto, and produced by Eminem. The two musicians first worked together at a recording session for rapper Obie Trice of Shady Records. Modern music experts praised the song for being a fantastic club song.
On September 26, 2006, Smack That was made available as the first single off the sophomore album Konvicted. In terms of business, the song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top of ten record charts, with nine of them featuring it inside the top 10. It sold more than three million downloads in the US and was certified gold and platinum multiple times. The song was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category.
A little segment from the 1982 movie 48 Hours is recreated in the Smack That music video. Under Benny Boom’s direction, Akon is seen as a prisoner who is released from custody by Jack Gates, an officer of the law played by Eric Roberts, in search of a witness. Akon has a full day to do as he pleases, provided he locates the female witness. After receiving a picture of her, he acts on a tip that the witness is in a nightclub. Akon meets up with buddy and fellow rapper Eminem at the club. After locating the female witness, Akon leaves the club without Jack Gates.
This is the first video that portrays Eminem with his then-new tattoo ‘PROOF’ on his left arm, which is dedicated to his friend, DeShaun Dupree Holton who was slain when he was shot by a bouncer in an after-hours area.
