Originally titled “Aku Cinderella,” the song’s name was later changed to Aku Stacy. The lyrics narrate the story of an individual emotionally hurt by a manipulative lover, striving to break free from the toxic relationship. Stacy first performed this song during the final concert of Akademi Fantasia, which culminated in her winning the competition.
Following its release, Aku Stacy achieved significant success on Malaysian music charts. It debuted at number 15 on Carta Era and quickly ascended to the top position, maintaining the number one spot for two consecutive weeks.
