Scotty McCreery – Bottle Rockets Ringtone Download feat. Hootie & the Blowfish

Scotty McCreery’s Bottle Rockets is more than just a country anthem—it’s a nostalgic celebration of summer, youth, and the enduring power of collaboration. The song was born in early 2025 during a winter writing retreat at McCreery’s cabin in North Carolina. Despite being surrounded by six inches of snow, the team—including Frank Rogers, Brent Anderson, Derek George, Monty Criswell, and a flu-stricken Jeremy Bussey calling in remotely—set out to craft a summer track that would anchor McCreery’s new EP, Scooter & Friends.

The idea for Bottle Rockets came from McCreery’s deep love for Hootie & the Blowfish, especially their 1994 hit “Hold My Hand.” As they built the chorus for the song, producer Frank Rogers spontaneously sang the chorus of the Hootie classic over the track. To everyone’s surprise, it fit perfectly, sparking the decision to incorporate it directly into the song. This moment transformed “Bottle Rockets” from a good summer song into something iconic—bridging two eras of Southern music. Not only did Darius Rucker contribute his vocals from Nashville, but original Hootie & the Blowfish members Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim Sonefeld also re-recorded their classic harmonies. With their contributions, they were all added as co-writers, expanding the official writing credit list to a whopping twelve names.

The writing retreat was full of quirks and challenges. Apart from the flu and the snow, McCreery’s trail camera even captured a bear roaming his property shortly before one of the songwriters stepped outside. The combination of adverse weather, illness, and wild encounters somehow fueled a creative process that led to a song overflowing with warmth and joy.

Musically, Bottle Rockets is a mid-tempo track that opens with vivid snapshots of beach bonfires, late-night swims, and teenage romance. McCreery’s voice brings sincerity and energy, guiding listeners through a storyline drenched in sunlit memories. Then, in a seamless blend, the chorus of “Hold My Hand” kicks in, adding a touch of 90s magic that elevates the entire experience.

Released on May 15, 2025, the song quickly resonated with fans and radio alike. It was the most-added song at country radio that week, securing 110 adds—matching McCreery’s record for most first-week additions. It debuted at No. 30 on Billboard Country Airplay and soon climbed into the Top 10, while also breaking into the Hot 100 and Canadian charts. This marked another milestone in McCreery’s consistent run of country hits.

Bottle Rockets works because it’s real. It captures the spirit of young love and freedom, all while paying homage to the music that shaped McCreery’s own upbringing in the Carolinas. It’s a song born in the snow but made for the sand—a rare, heartfelt blend of new storytelling and old-school charm.

Scotty McCreery – Bottle Rockets Ringtone N Lyrics
Everybody’s got a summer that they can’t forget
They hold on to and go back to
Yeah, mine’s on the Carolina coast
Still burnin’ in my mind like a red sunset
Chasin’ embers till September
What I remember most

Bottle rockets in the sky
Bare feet in the sand
Bonfire in her eyes
Cold beer in the can
Moonlight on the waves
Her kiss in the dark
The smile on her face when she’d make me break out my guitar and play
Hold my hand
Hold my hand

I can still feel her fingers wrapped up in mine
Can still hear her laughin’, see her dancing
Yeah, makin’ more than that sundress spin
Who says you can’t go back in time?
Yeah, when that song, it comes on
I’m on rewind and I’m seventeen again

Bottle rockets in the sky
Bare feet in the sand
Bonfire in her eyes
Cold beer in a can
Moonlight on the waves
Her kiss in the dark
The smile on her face when she’d make me break out my guitar and play
Hold my hand
I want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Oh

I got a hand for you
Yeah, I got a hand for you
I wanna run with you
Won’t you let me run with you?

Bottle rockets in the sky
Bare feet in the sand
Bonfire in her eyes
Cold beer in a can
Moonlight on the waves
Her kiss in the dark
The smile on her face when she’d make me break out my guitar and play
Hold my hand
I want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
I’ll take you to the promised land
Hold my hand
Maybe we can’t change the world, but
I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can

(Hold my hand) Bottle rockets in the sky
The best that I can (Hold my hand)
Bare feet in the sand
The best that I can (Hold my hand)
Bonfire in her eyes
Oh
(Hold my hand) I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can
