Lady Gaga – You and I Ringtone (100% Free Download). American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga wrote and recorded the song You and I (often spelt “Yoü and I”), which is featured on her second studio album, Born This Way. She and Robert John “Mutt” Lange co-produced it as well. Brian May of Queen plays electric guitar on the song, which samples the song “We Will Rock You”.

In June 2010, Gaga made her stage debut with “You and I” at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball. Positive feedback prompted her to add the song to her set list for The Monster Ball Tour after footage of the performance surfaced online. In July 2010, she sang the song in front of a record-breaking audience on Today, and in May 2011, she did the same on The Oprah Winfrey Show. The song was released by Interscope Records as the album’s fourth single on August 23, 2011.

“You and I” is a slow-paced song with piano and electric guitars as well as background vocals by Gaga and Lange. The song was well received by critics, who cited it as one of Born This Way’s highlights. As a result of digital downloads from the parent album, “You and I” charted in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States following its release. “You and I” made it to the top ten in the US, Japan, and seven other countries after it was released as a single. In the US, the song sold three million copies, earning it a Triple Platinum certification.

Before the song’s release in May 2011, Haley Reinhart, a contestant on Season 10 of American Idol, gave a performance of “You and I” that received favourable reviews. Her studio recording was included in the compilation album American Idol Top 5 Season 10 and was made available as a single on the iTunes Store. At the 54th Grammy Awards, which took place on February 12, 2012, “You and I” received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Positive feedback was also received for the “You and I” music video. It was released on August 16, 2011, and was filmed in Springfield, Nebraska, by Gaga’s long-time partner Laurieann Gibson. It includes Gaga’s male alter persona, Jo Calderone, who also shows up on the single’s cover, and her mermaid alter ego, Yüyi. Later, during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga sang the song while dressed as Jo Calderone. Since then, the song has been played on the singer’s residencies and concert tours.
