Scissor Sisters – Invisible Light Ringtone Download
American band Scissor Sisters released Invisible Light as the third and last single off their third studio album, Night Work. Lead singer Jake Shears felt that the song, even after he decided to go with Fire with Fire, should have been the first single released for Night Work. It features guest spoken-word vocals by actor Sir Ian McKellen.
In the Invisible Light music video, a woman is shown experiencing a string of nightmares. She imagines herself sleeping on a boat on a river, being hauled into the woods by a gang of guys, and going to her own burial. The song, which originally had a six-minute album version, was shortened to a four-minute radio edit. Sir McKellen’s vocals are performed by an actor dressed as a hypnotist. The video is described as “a magical trip down the rabbit hole” by the band members. The dreams of Catherine Deneuve in Belle de jour and Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby served as the inspiration for the video. In the video, Liz Taylor’s portrayal of Cleopatra also makes an appearance.
